This book is checked out by both elementary teachers and parents. I wasn't able to get as much of a feel for the characters as I'd like. Her commitment to the corporate setting is clear through the entire book and that is her main purpose. I don't mean that in a pejorative sense, but rather to indicate that this reading seeks to honor the Apostle, as a member of Christ's body. Ford's take on the world, and especially the gay world, is simply hilarious - this is a great book to read while commuting with it's short chapters and humor that might just help you face the day with a smile. They have it all, as geriatric spokesman, Johnny Deutsch would say: sexually active, well traveled, cozy in their exclusively adult gated community, they share Bridge and drinks in the afternoon. Additionally, there's a free short story on the author's website that adds a second cherry atop the romance sundae. I touched the flame, like she touched Wanda in the story, and oh boy, am I ever glad I did. Racism, xenophobia, and homophobia permeated throughout my time. I fell in love with the architecture of the buildings in Cairo and Alexandria where we had a beach home.

He immediately assumed command of Bravo Company, 1/7 Cav, and excelled as a commander and a leader. He was aggressive in the field, confident in his command, and assertive with his superiors. He fought a good war, a successful war, and when he was forced to take a staff job it was as his battalion's intelligence officer. But the war was winding down, its purpose lost. Taylor's spirit's flagged, but not his fidelity. This well-written combat memoir is heartfelt, earnest, honest and just a little melancholy.
